Pink Floyd's first incarnation was dominated by the brilliant but fragile Syd Barrett, whose decline into acid-burned incoherence would haunt the band for decades. Bass-player Roger Waters led the post-Syd Floyd on toward the ra-defining multi-platinum Dark Side Of The Moon. The Wall would match Dark Side's success, but by then the band was torn apart by internecine warfare, culminating in Roger's acrimonius exit in 1984. Somehow Pink Floyd survived the loss of their leader a second time, and a new incarnation led by guitarist Dave Gilmour returned with the hugely successful A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album and tour.
Saucerful of Secrets is an electrifying account of this ground-breaking, mind-bending group, covering every period of their career from earliest days to latest recordings. It is full of revealing information that will be treasured by all who love Pink Floyd's music.
